Increased lifetime in steam at 100 °C.
- High ingress resistance IP 68 / IP 69K.
- Food-grade housing materials: high-grade stainless steel / Peek.
- Operation in a wide temperature range: 0...100 °C
- Resistant to temperature shocks.
- Resistant to cleaning agents.
Lifetime In some applications in the food industry inductive sensors are often subjected to steam and aggressive cleaning agents. ifm’s extensive quality tests have been complemented by the steam boiler test. Steam boiler test In this test, the sensors are subjected to 100 °C steam at overpressure. This test is based upon the conditions given in the applications. The suitability for the applications can thus be tested. In contrast to common sensors, this T-series is distinguished by a longer lifetime.
