Inductive 'efector m' sensors with AS-i for the machine tool industry.

Designs M12, M18 and M30 with long sensing ranges.
  • Long life due to protection IP 68 coolant.
  • Resistant to aggressive oils and coolants.
  • AS-i specification 2.1: up to 62 slaves possible per master.
  • Increased sensing range for more plant uptime.
  • High vibration and shock resistance.
High ingress resistance and life
The sensors of the 'efector m' series are distinguished by their high ingress resistance and mechanical robustness in extreme applications such as in the machine tool industry. This is proven by the protection rating IP 68 coolant. The ingress resistance which is ensured in connection with aggressive oils and coolants is achieved using suitable materials such as high-grade stainless steel and LCP. Due to the laser type label the unit can still be clearly identified after years.

Increased sensing range
The increased sensing range is ensured over the whole temperature range. It provides additional protection against failures caused by mechanical damage. With the new sensors sensing ranges of 4 to 22 mm can be implemented. In practice this corresponds to a value which is up to 2 times higher in comparison to standard sensors.

Extended AS-interface address range
The sensors are designed for the extended address range to the AS-interface specification 2.1 according to which up to 62 slaves can be connected per AS-i network. They are software compatible to the existing AS-i masters with AS-i specification 2.0.

M12 connector
The connection is made via a robust M12 plug and socket connection with gold-plated contacts with integrated, clearly visible 4-port LED for indication of the output status.
