 For AS-i users and AS-i starters in process technology ifm electronic now offers a complete package for pneumatic quarter-turn actuators. The set contains all parts which give a pneumatic quarter-turn actuator AS-i capability. In addition to the dual sensor with target puck this includes a solenoid valve which can be used either as a 5/2 or 3/2-way valve. Furthermore the complete set contains the necessary mounting accessories such as silencers, fixing elements, flat cable connection as well as connector between slave and solenoid valve.
The advantage for the customer: For local mounting the user has all necessary parts in one box. Delays, e.g. caused by wrong connection cables or missing screws belong to the past.
This product has been initiated by customers who have to order a lot of individual components for their projects from different suppliers with different delivery times. With the complete set planning becomes easier because only one article number must be ordered for the control of a quarter-turn actuator.
The mechanical connection to the quarter-turn actuators is done via the standardised fixing in accordance with VDI / VDE 3845 and ISO 5211. Due to the low power consumption (1 W) the black AS-i cable is not necessary. A maximum of 31 valves or quarter-turn actuators can be networked on one AS-i system. A suitable connection technology provides the user with the high protection rating IP 67. Due to prewired cables no wiring faults are made.
