Safe and non-safe signal detection.
- Connection of mechanical contacts and LED elements.
- Connection of an e-stop to ISO 13850 and EN 418.
- Certification to EN 954-1, category 4 and IEC 61508, SIL3.
- Integration of the AS-i slaves in a surface mounting housing.
- Quick and easy to fit.
Utmost security The new AS-interface slaves allow the easy connection of mechanical switching elements to the AS-interface system. A distinction is made between safe and non-safe AS-interface participants. The safe AS-interface PCB serves for the connection of an e-stop mushroom pushbutton switch in compliance with ISO 13850 and EN 418 to the bus system AS-interface. In the safe version, two inputs (normally closed) and one output are available for the user to trigger an LED light indicator. Using the safe AS-interface slave, the highest category 4 to EN 954-1 (SIL 3 / IEC 61508) is achieved. In the non-safe version two variants are available for the user: 2I /1O or 4I /4O. Up to four mechanical switching elements can be detected or light indicators triggered; the energy is supplied via the AS-i system. The new AS-interface slaves can be integrated into different housings of different manufacturers.
- Additional diagnosis
Exact fault location is possible for the user via different LEDs on the PCB. A red FAULT LED signals communication errors, indicated by a permanent red light. A green POWER LED indicates the supply via the AS-interface system. In addition to these common LEDs, the logic input states are also indicated by means of LEDs.
- Set-up
Addressing of the modules can be carried out without voltage before fitting or when fitted and wired. Only the common addressing unit AC1144 is required.
