ifm introduces the KG Series Level Sensors for Aggressive Media
ifm’s capacitive point-level KN Series sensor family features a polypropylene housing that is chemically compatible with aggressive media typically found in the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.
ifm’s non-contact capacitive sensing technology is ideal for detecting the level of media through plastic tanks and tubing. Patented noise immune circuitry enables the sensors to ignore interference from plasma generators, high radio frequencies and other electromagnetic interference.
The tubular sensors are mounted to the side of a plastic tank to provide high or low alarm levels, overflow protection, and leakage control. The sensors can also be mounted in close proximity to provide precise level indication in chemical dosing applications.
Application parameters are established using the sensor’s pushbutton setup, and its automatic PNP/NPN output load detection simplifies configuration.
